Primoz Roglic (Team Jumbo-Visma) won stage 10 of the Vuelta a Espana and in doing so, also moved back into the overall race lead.
Stage 10 of the Vuelta a Espana was an interesting stage, as the mostly flat parcour had the sprint teams interested but the only complication was the final 1.5km went uphill.
Even though the early break of the day got over 12 minutes lead on the peloton, they were still brought back with 20km to go.
NTT Pro Cycling worked to position Carlos Barbero and Michael Valgren for the final uphill sprint. Barbero was well positioned in the last 800m but had to expend a lot of energy to be there.
Valgren came from slightly further back bought could not match the punch of the likes of Roglic. The Slovenian took his 3rd stage win of the race while Valgren finished as our best, in 18th place.
