The Tour of Britain drew to a close on Sunday in London capping a successful week for Team Dimension Data as Nic Dlamini finished as the Skoda King of the Mountains and Scott Davies finished as the top British rider in the race.
The final stage was a 77km circuit. There were numerous breaks that enjoyed time in front, including a break containing Connor Swift (Madison Genesis). However, the sprint teams kept proceedings under control and the stage was won by Caleb Ewan (Mitchelton-Scott).
By completing the stage, Dlamini ensured that he won the Skoda King of the Mountains after a very exciting week of racing. Also in the action was Scott Davies, who walked away with the Adnams Best British Rider award after finishing 12th on the general classification.

I think the team has raced really well this week, we tried to race aggressively in every stage. We are all pleased with the results at the end of the day. Our goal was to race provativey and we did that for the whole week. Personally, it wasn’t the toughest race I have raced, and I really enjoyed it. The climbs are really good for me, short and punchy, and that is really the type of rider I am. I would like to come back next year and try something more.

“It has been a great week with the King of the Mountains jersey and myself being able to finish 12th in the GC. It’s been a really good week for us. We raced aggressively and we are happy with it. For me personally, I am really happy with my performance. It’s been a tough year and I have struggled at times, so it’s nice for things to come together here, at the Tour of Britain.”
