Team Qhubeka NextHash will head to the UCI 2.Pro Arctic Race of Norway with a team that presents two of our continental team riders with an important opportunity to develop their skills.
The Arctic Race of Norway will get underway on Thursday in Tromso, Norway and will conclude on Sunday, in Harstad, Norway, after 4 undulating road stages have been completed.
With a stacked August race calendar, that will see Team Qhubeka NextHash race in no less than 7 different countries this month, it will just be a 5-man squad on duty for our South African UCI World Tour team at the Arctic Race. Importantly though, Henok Mulubrhan and Luca Coati from our u23 Team Qhubeka Continental team will get their opportunity to race among the pro peloton.
The punchy characteristics of Mulubrhan should serve the Eritrean well, as all four Arctic Race stages are littered with short sharp climbs. Coati, more of a sprinter, will certainly look to play his cards on the opening two stages where the probability of a bunch kick is high.
The u23 duo will be leaning heavily upon Dimitri Claeys, as the experienced Belgian leads our young team at the Scandinavian race, which is completed by Karel Vacek and Harry Tanfield.
