Preview: Tour of Poland

The Tour of Poland will take place from the 4th to the 10th of August this year and Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka will once again line-up for this tough World Tour stage race.

The Tour of Poland has become a regular fixture on the World Tour calendar and is the first World Tour stage race after the Tour de France. Some riders will try to carry their form from France into this years edition of the race, while others will take the start fresh and ready for the 2nd half of the season.

This years edition of the race starts with 3 lumpy stages that could possibly suit the sprinters but the final 4 stages are loaded with steep punchy climbs and will make for a difficult race. At least years edition of the race, Ben O’Connor started to show glimpses of his true talent, and was always there or thereabouts, finishing in the top 20 overall.

With added confidence and experience, O’Connor will head back to Poland and be joined by a strong roster. Edvald Boasson Hagen will be one of the riders looking to carry his Tour form into Poland. Lachlan Morton, who has enjoyed a flying start to his 2nd half of the season, will also be lining up.

To complete our team, we will have Bernie Eisel, Jaco Venter, Scott Davies and Natnael Berhane providing the foundation for our 3 in-form riders.
