Paris-Nice #4: Ben King best placed in ITT for Dimension Data

Woet Poels (Team Sky) won the individual time trial, setting the fastest time. Marc Soler (Movistar Team) took second and Julian Alaphilippe (Quick-Step Floors) third in the race against the clock.

The stage 4 time trial at Paris-Nice was always going to play a role in determining the GC battle for the race. The 18km route rolled out from La Fouillouse, ending in Saint-Étienne.

For our African team, Ben King was the best placed rider of the day, finishing in 42nd place overall. Our American set a time of 27’13” and our next best placed rider, sitting in 57th spot, was Serge Pauwels with a time of 27’35”. Natnael moved down from 31st to 45th in the GC, after crossing the line 2’53” off the pace.

By finishing in the top ten, Luis León Sanchez (Astana Pro Team) ensured he retained the yellow jersey, going in to tomorrow’s stage. The final 4 stages head into the mountains where the battle for the overall GC will be contested.
