Lachlan Morton has been sidelined for the next 6 weeks due to a fractured wrist after colliding with a car while training in Colorado yesterday.
Morton was due to fly to Europe yesterday, ahead of the upcoming Tour de Suisse which was to be the next event on his race calendar. Unfortunately, during his final training ride in the USA yesterday, Morton collided with a vehicle that pulled out in front of him. The end result was a fractured wrist for our Aussie climber.

I’m afraid Lachlan has a fractured wrist after colliding with a car during training yesterday. From what is visible on the X-rays, it’s a simple crack, so no surgery is required. He’ll need 6 weeks in a cast. Unfortunately he’s out for Tour de Suisse, but he can start training indoors immediately.
