Tomorrow Team Qhubeka NextHash will take the start of Il Lombardia, the final cycling monument of the year and also the teams final race of the 2021 season.
Known as the race of the falling leaves, Il Lombardia will again conclude the season for many team’s, including Team Qhubeka NextHash. The Italian cycling monument will start in Como and cover 239km before finishing in Bergamo.
It will be a new testing route for the World Tour peloton tomorrow with numerous climbs throughout. While this may make team’s race strategies more unpredictable, with over 4500m altitude gain during the race, it is still certain that only the worlds best climbers will feature during the race finale.
Team Qhubeka NextHash will be focused on delivering Domenico Pozzovivo to the finale, in the best shape possible. The Italian has remarkably shown yet another return to top shape after injury, this after crashing at the Vuelta a Burgos in August.
Pozzovivo will be able to count on Victor Campenaerts, Mauro Schmid, Sean Bennett, Dylan Sunderland, Andreas Stokbro and Karel Vacek tomorrow, during what should be an exciting race.
