Eschborn-Frankfurt: Mass sprint goes to German champ

The German national champion, Pascal Ackermann (Bora-Hansgrohe) sprinted to victory at Eschborn-Frankfurt today. John Degenkolb (Trek-Segafredo) was 2nd and Alexander Kristoff (UAE-Emirates) placed 3rd.

As expected, it was a reduced group sprint of around 80 riders that decided the Eschborn-Frankfurt. Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka had Edvald Boasson Hagen fighting for a top placing during the 186km race.

Our Norwegian was unable to better his 8th place from last year though and crossed the line in 14th. Amanuel Ghebreigzabhier (43rd) had done a good job looking after Boasson Hagen in the final kilometers while Ryan Gibbons (49th) was our other finisher in the reduced front group.
