Alexander Kristoff (UAE-Emirates) sprinted to the victory at the GP du Canton in Gippingen, with Andrea Pasqualon (Wanty-Groupe Gobert) placing 2nd and our Reinardt Janse van Rensburg rounding out the podium. The GP du Canton took place in Gippingen this afternoon with the 186km race ending in a mass sprint. Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka’s protected rider for the day, Reinardt Janse van Rensburg, was right in the mix and looked like he may just take the win before being passed in the dying meters of the race. The Team had worked well to look after our South African sprinter, over the undulating course, with.
Wout van Aert (Team Jumbo Visma) sprinted to victory on stage 5 of the Criterium du Dauphine. Sam Bennett (Bora-Hansgrohe) finished 2nd and Julian Alaphilippe (Deceuninck-Quickstep) was 3rd. Stage 5 of the Criterium du Dauphine was another clear opportunity for the sprinters and so the race only really sprung to life with 10km to go, once a 3 rider break had been caught. Edvald Boasson Hagen was our man for the day but with a somewhat technical final kilometer, the Norwegian hoped to catch the fast men off guard by making a surprise attack under the red kite. Boasson Hagen got a small gap rather.
