The 112th edition of ‘The Race of the Falling Leaves’ promises to be as exciting as ever, following the familiar course starting in Bergamo and finishing in Como. The final ‘Monument’ of the year is always a highlight of the calendar and signals the end of a long season for many members of the peloton. The course itself is legendary with the first real challenge coming 50km in to the race with the 8.3km climb of the Colle Gallo with an average gradient of 5.2% which is followed around 50km later by the climb up the Colle Brianza, we’d expect to see the breakaway feature.
