Sonny Collbrelli (Bahrain-Merida) won the 3rd stage of the Tour de Suisse in a blanket sprint finish from Fernando Gaviria (Quickstep-Floors) and Peter Sagan (Bora-Hansgrohe). Stefan Kung (BMC Racing) hung onto the overall race leaders yellow jersey. It was a wet day of racing over at the Tour de Suisse as the peloton took on an undulating 182km stage. 3 riders animated the early part of the stage, forging clear of the break and riding to a 5-minute lead. BMC Racing and Bora-Hansgrohe did the majority of the pace setting from the peloton. Despite the rain, racing really heated over the final 30km circuit lap.
