Alexander Kristoff (Team UAE Emirates) sprinted to victory at the GP du Canton d’Argovie. 2nd place went the way of the Francesco Gavazzi (Androni) and Marco Canola (Nippo) rounded out the podium. The GP du Canton d’Argovie once again took place over its familiar 185km circuit course. 4 riders jumped away from the peloton early on, forming the break of the day. They were able to gain a lead of over 7-minutes as the peloton rolled along in the Swiss sunshine. Eventually, UAE Emirates and Bora-Hansgrohe began setting the pace for their sprinters. The gap started to decrease and it was evident another bunch gallop.

Julien Alaphilippe (Quickstep) won stage 4 of the Criterium du Dauphine, winning the mountain top sprint ahead of Dan Martin (UAE Emirates) and Geraint Thomas (Team Sky). The 4th stage of the Criterium du Dauphine got off to a rapid start, with the peloton averaging well over 50km/h during the first hour of racing. This saw it take more than 60km before the break of the day formed, when it did, our African Team had Edvald Boasson Hagen present in the move.
