Michael Mathews (Team Sunweb) won the opening 4km prologue of the Tour de Romandie. Tim Bohli (BMC Racing) was 2nd and Primoz Roglic (LottoNL-Jumbo) 3rd, both just a second off the Australian’s winning time. It was a short, sharp and technical 4km prologue that got the 2018 Tour de Romandie underway today in Fribourg. It was a route for the real short course specialists, and not one for our African climbers. Steve Cummings would be our top-placed rider, finishing just 19 seconds down on Matthews. All our remaining African Team riders had no problems on the tricky course, that saw a number of our rival.
