Thomas De Gendt soloed to victory on stage 4 of the Volta Catalunya. Simon Yates (Mitchelton-Scott) led the chasing peloton home in 2nd, ahead of Thibaut Pinot (Groupama-FDJ) in 3rd place. The 3rd stage of the Volta Catalunya started with a revised route, after the organisers removed the original summit finish to Vallter 2000 Setcases, replacing it with the easier run up to Camprodon.
