Primoz Roglic (Team Lotto NL – Jumbo) won stage 3 of Tirreno- Adriatico ahead of Adam Yates (Mitchelton – Scott) and Tiesj Benoot (Lotto Soudal). Geraint Thomas (Team Sky) will wear the Maglia Azzurra heading into tomorrow’s stage. Stage 3 of Tirreno Adriatio was the longest stage of the race, stretching for 239km. The Trevi climb, ascended twice in the final kms, offered the biggest challenge of the day. The last kilometer of the race contained a gradient as steep as 20%. The break of the day made it away within the first km’s, containing Jacopo Mosca (Wilier-Selle Italia), Nicola Bagioli (Nippo-Vini Fantini), Sho Hatsuyama.
Rudy Molard (Groupama-FDJ) stormed to victory on stage 6 of Paris-Nice. He finished ahead of Tim Wellens (Lotto-Soudal) and Julian Alaphilippe (Quick Step). Luis Leon Sanchez (Astana) will wear the yellow jersey tomorrow, after securing 4th positing. Stage 6 of Paris-Nice rolled out from Sisteron to Vence, covering 198km. For Team Dimension Data, the day did not get off to the ideal start, with Tom- Jelte Slagter withdrawing from the race due to illness. Once racing got underway, there were several attacks. No attack was successful, until a group from the peloton went the wrong way, providing the opportunity for a break of six riders.
