Peter Sagan (Tinkoff) won the 100th edition of the Ronde van Vlaanderen, crossing the line solo with Fabian Cancellara (Trek-Segafredo) in 2nd and Sep Vanmarcke (LottoNL-JUmbo) in 3rd position. Once again the Tour of Flanders lived up to the pre-race hype, being a nonstop drama filled race. From the gun the pace was on and the pressure in the peloton showed through numerous crashes throughout the day. The Vuelta Ciclista al Pais Vasco is the next World Tour stage race on the cycling calendar, starting on Monday 4th April in Etxebarria and ending after 6 stages on Saturday 9 April in Eibar.
